Alternative fuels and charging infrastructure
In addition to being clean and silent, electric vehicles are also more environmentally friendly than combustion vehicles in terms of CO2. In many countries users get tax benefits, making them financially attractive. To ensure their successful rollout at a city scale, it is essential to develop a dense network of charging stations that allows users to drive without hassle.
ENGIE develops charging networks for electrical vehicles with communities that have decided to make a stronger commitment to cleaner mobility. In the Netherlands, for instance, the Group is in the process of installing 4,000 new charging stations before 2020 in the Greater Rotterdam area.
