Energy storage & flexibility
Energy storage is the ability to retain energy that has been produced for future consumption. For years, storage technologies – particularly for systems that combine photovoltaic panels and batteries – were expensive, cumbersome and difficult to install. Recent advances have made storage batteries much more accessible.
Electricity storage helps to relieve power grids, especially during times of high demand. On the other hand, many regions of the world suffer from a chronic lack of electricity underproduction, which leads to recurring load shedding or loss of power. While more than 84% of the world’s population has access to electricity, in many countries the rate is less than 50%. Storage therefore allows professionals and individual consumers to surmount these problems and permanently cover their needs
